Promote has provided communications support for the IUCN UK/Carbon Leapfrog ‘The Economics of Nature’ forum in the City of London held in November 2010. The event was designed to stimulate ideas amongst leading thinkers about how the findings of the TEEB report could be implemented. Speakers included the Rt. Hon. Caroline Spelman MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs; Julia Marton-Lefèvre, IUCN Director-General; Josh Bishop, IUCN Chief Economist, and TEEB for Business report coordinator; John Elkington, Executive Chairman, Volans; and Tony Juniper, Former Director of Friends of the Earth. Promote is working with partners to provide consultancy about what TEEB means for organisations – how to avoid the risks, and how to capitalise on the opportunities.
